Women Are Rising, Can You Feel It Too?

There is a collective shift happening right now with women across the globe.

I’ve felt it brewing for a while, but more recently it has become so palpable that it can’t even be ignored.

Women are rising, and what I mean by that is we are becoming more unapologetically self-expressed, visible, outspoken, and powerful.

Here is the thing, this remembrance isn’t something that has come out of nowhere, it has always been within each and every woman all along.

The only difference is that more women now feel the permission to be authentically who they are.

I personally LOVE to see it because a woman who steps into her power gives permission to a handful of others to do the same.

It goes without saying, that many generations past have suppressed women and their innate expression.

The patriarchy had a great way of making women feel second class, silenced, and shameful. In my humble opinion, religion and societal beliefs also did the same.

Here is where I believe things have started to shift collectively - we’ve had enough with the way things have been and have felt the impact of shrinking for so long.

Women, specifically in the Western world, became victims to a system they never had a choice but to buy into. Many of us were prescribed brith control by our doctors with very little information about the long-term and short-term impacts, we were placed into a capitalistic system that told us “our worth is in how much we do and produce, not who we are being,” we were told to keep our cycles a secret and taught very little about our own anatomy and how to tend to our biological needs, and the cherry on top? We were sold so many lies from media about how a woman needs to physically look in order to be deemed as beautiful and socially accepted.

In the past decade we have seen the impact of all this come to rear its ugly head. Women have been dealing with burnout, hormonal imbalance, eating disorders, body shame, autoimmune diseases, and much more.

This was and IS not normal, and we’ve been waking up to that.

With the access to education we now have, social media, more communities of women/ sisterhood forming, and holistic health + healing becoming normalized, more women have started to become awakened.

We’ve been healing, and this work hasn’t been easy..far from it.

We have had to remove the layers of shame, conditioning, and programming that taught us what a woman should be.

We’re slowly starting to remember the power and capacity that was always within us and we are starting to listen to the quiet whispers of our soul telling us to follow our joy, pleasure, and purpose.

Women are rising.

They are healing and choosing to follow a path of their own - not what society or anyone else tells them is best, but instead, listening to their own intuition and intelligence.

I applaud every woman on the path right now, the women who haven’t yet remembered, who are remembering, and who have fully awakened.

We hold the keys to the healing of future generations. We get to carve a path that honours our own unique rhythms, biology, and needs.

We get the chance to teach our children and future humans about how to really use their voice, advocate for their needs, be self-expressed, and take care of themselves.

The more that we continue to rise, support other women, be our authentic selves, and dare to live a life that is different from the status quo, the more we make a change.

Rising can be scary. It will challenge every self-limiting belief you’ve ever been programmed to believe. It will ask of you to face your fears. It will make you uncomfortable, but ultimately it will help you grow.

If you’ve made it this far, I want to leave you with one last thing.

A woman is powerful when she is no longer constantly dictated by her limiting beliefs, lives authentically as her best self, knows her values, and can set boundaries in her life that honour who she is and what she needs to thrive.

To the woman that is rising - I see you and I applaud you.
